Patrick McLaren is a leading expert in marine and coastal processes and a world authority on sediment transport and dynamics, with over 30 years of experience of mapping sediment transport pathways in a wide range of aquatic environments. This presentation will examine briefly methods that are commonly used to achieve an understanding of sediment transport including tracers, the collection of in-situ process measurements and numerical modeling.
