Newfoundland and Labrador Section

The St. John's Geotechnical Society committee facilitates technical presentations approximately once a month on various on-shore and offshore geotechnical and civil engineering. The technical presentations cover a wide range of applications ranging from state-of-the-art research to case histories related to pipeline-soil interaction, onshore and coastal civil projects, and deep and ultra-deep offshore geotechnical engineering in various environments including Arctic. The presentations are free of charge and open to the public. The attendance at the technical presentation ranges from about 10 to 20 persons. The executive committee also maintains regular ties with the Society of Civil Engineers group in St. John's.
