Membership

Membership in the Canadian Geotechnical Society is open by annual subscription (January 1 – December 31) to geotechnical engineers and geoscientists working in broadly defined areas of geotechnology that include but are not limited to soil mechanics, rock mechanics, engineering geology, groundwater, cold regions geotechnology, geosynthetics, and geoenvironmental practice.

Members are invited to participate in the activities of their local section (20 across Canada) and to keep up with current local, national and international developments in the industry, to share knowledge as well as to meet and socialize with professional colleagues. Local sections typically run 6-10 meetings annually and often sponsor local seminars and courses that may be offered to CGS members at preferred prices.
