Regina Section (Regina Geotechnical Group)

The Regina Geotechnical Group has active participation from Regina and the surrounding areas. It provides a University of Regina undergraduate scholarship, a Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology book award, and sponsorship donations to various technical functions. Five technical presentations were organized in 2011.

Soil-atmospheric models represent one of the tools that can be used to predict the long-term performance of soil cover systems. The current study demonstrates how global climate change models can be used to prepare weather datasets for use in soil-atmospheric modeling. A comparison between soil cover performance based on historical and future weather is presented for a site in northern Canada.
