Dr. Ellen Rathje, Professor and the Janet S. Cockrell Centennial Chair in Engineering at the University of Texas in Austin will be the Spring 2020 CGS CCLT speaker. Dr. Rathje is an acknowledged expert in earthquake engineering, seismic response of earth structures, seismic slope stability and remote sensing of geotechnical phenomenon. She is also a founding member and Steering Committee member of the Geotechnical Extreme Event Reconnaissance (GEER) Association.
