About the Membership Committee
The mandate of the Membership Committee is to:
• Promote the CGS Membership benefits to current and future members
• Introduce additional ideas/initiatives that will build membership in the society
• Design and develop a member satisfaction process
• Support members with involvement and participation issues
• Survey geo-professionals to understand where the CGS can provide more value
• Promote volunteering opportunities
• Track membership renewals

Recent Events

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, the CGS hosted a virtual event on March 8, International Women’s Day 2022: Break the Bias – Moving from Understanding to Action. The event featured Caroline Andrewes of the Association of Consulting Engineers Companies BC and Marcie Cochrane of Advance Principle Consulting, and included interactive networking opportunities. Marcie shared their experiences in implementing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) strategy and the importance of alignment with organizations’ values and culture.
