CGS Board of Directors

The Canadian Geotechnical Society is governed by a Board of Directors that consists of:

• President
• Vice-President Technical
• Vice-President Finance
• Vice-President Communications
• Section Directors (representing each of the local Sections of the Society)
• Division Chairs (representing the seven Divisions)
• Chair, Geotechnical Research Board

In addition there are five ex-officio Directors:

• Immediate Past President (non-voting - participates during the first year of the President’s 2-year term)
• President-Elect (non-voting - participates during the second year of the President’s 2-year term)
• Editor, Canadian Geotechnical Journal
• Editor, CGS News
• Representative of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) (non-voting)

The Secretary General and Administrator act as resource personnel to the Society and are not members of the Board of Directors.
